What’s behind the name “BORISAP”

Our CEO, Mr Gunil Lee explains the meaning behind “BORISAP”:

“BORI” is Korean for a common but important grain – barley. Barley symbolizes strength as it is able to endure the cold of winter before it sprouts into a live-giving food that nourishes us all in spring. Barley is not only a lifesaver that protects us during the spring season when we suffer a lack of food but is even regarded as a health food today.

“BORI” also sounds similar to the Korean “Pali” or the Sanskrit equivalent “Bodhi” (菩提) which means the “final attainable state of true wisdom, enlightenment or knowledge”.

“SAP” in Korean refers to the agricultural tool, the shovel. A tool that makes the difficult task of preparing the ground for sowing a much easier one. It also refers to our main business of providing consulting, training and implementation services for the German software – SAP.

“BORISAP” wants to provide you with the knowledge, skills and tools needed to develop you so that you can reap the rewards from your work.

Services

BORISAP cooperates closely with Singapore’s ESP Consulting, providing consulting services for the implementation of WinERP, a Korean ERP as well as SAP, in various languages and with a differentiated consulting posture that has been learned for many years. In so doing, we aim to develop experts in the overall industry, including accounting as well as SAP and IT. In addition, we strive to contribute to the financing of promising companies in Korea.

History

2000.10 – First established in Seoul as ESP Consulting Korea

2001.09 – 1^st BORI

2008.05 – Name changed to TITAN Korea

2018.04 – Headquarter moved to Cheongyang Chungcheongnam-do and re-established as BORISAP

2022.06 – Started consulting and implementation of Korean ERP product – Win ERP. Win ERP is a enterprise Resource Planning solution that is known for its MRP and manufacturing costing features (winerp.aadkk.co.kr)
